Family Stories

I really wanted a project that I could use to record all the little family history stories that are passed on through the generations. I had a lot of photos that were not great quality but had stories to tell.

This Tattered Angles Glimmer mist kit was just the thing, and i used the glimmer mists to color some of the embellishments to match perfectly with the project. It did take some time to complete it but I think it was worth it in the end!

Mini Book

This weekends project is a mini book made from beer mats and pocket fold pages, all the papers used were some old Cosmo cricket 8x8 papers and i used the left overs from a box of die cut shapes from Crate.

the book is filled with picks of the fluffy one...Johnny x

Dartford Festival

This weekend was the local festival and I thought I would enter a few bits in the craft competition..... didn't do to bad really !!!!

Does this count as white space ???? Well it does for me, this page is very different from my normal style, not a block of patterned paper in sight! ( there is still some cutting out ...LOL)

This one is back to normal, must have had a funny turn with the other one !!!

Finally some crafting!!!!

Have been out in the sun again today to a local summer fair, I think it must mean I'm getting old but not as much fun as it used to be!! To avoid getting more burnt I covered up and had a hat on ( not that the precautions worked yesterday) but didn't stay out in it long.

Managed to get home in time to do a bit of crafting for a friends new baby.

Back to work tomorrow in the office then working away again, hope the hotel is better this time !!!

HOT HOT HOT !!!

It has been a bit of a week from hell! I have been training in Dorset for most of the week and I think I managed to find the only Premier Inn in the country that has no air conditioning!! It was nasty, as you walked into the corridor to the room you could feel the warmth of the air is you breathed it in, and of cause the Windows only opened an inch maximum. I thought I would have a shower to cool me down only to find as I got out that they had only given me one towel, pretty poor show really.

Then the room I had to teach in was so hot that it was cooler outside in the blazing sun, this being due to the fact that it was positioned above a laundry and a kitchen... oh what joy!

Hay ho, back home for the weekend and went with Mum and Auntie to sell some junk at the boot fair yesterday. We had a good day and managed to raise £116 (not bad for junk) and I made sure that I put on the sun block and even spent most of the day under my umbrella for some shade.... but yes I now have horrendous sun burn and in lots of pain, my face looks like I have been running! My forehead is on fire and my nose is looking ready for a comic relief event and I have a stonking head ache, GREAT!!!

Bring on the rain!!!!!!!!!!!
