Celebartions

Hi there all, its been a bit mad as always round here as you probably know due to the lack of blog posts (nothing new I hear you say!!!)  there has been some crafting lately with a master class album for Karen at total paperrafts and a page for kit 2 this month, so here's a bit of a catch up....

First the Page kit, as it seams to be the law in the UK at the mo to stick a union jack on anything that dosent move out of the way quick enough,it would be rude not to....

....the papers in the kit are Rubby Rocket and are beautiful quality, I used an image of the Union Jack and cut bit away to make a stencil so that I could ink the flag onto the papers. I used two vintage photos from the family album... the top one is of a local party for Coronation Day in which you an see my Mum with her brother and sisters in the right hand corner of the photo and their auntie in the bottom left. The bottom photo is of a street celebration for VE day in 1945. My auntie is in this one aged 5.

Staying on a vintage theme The class that I designed for Karen was all about my Grandmother and her family, I loved the book when I had finished it but think Karen wanted to kill me after taking the class ( have a look at what she put on her blog..)!!! the book is full of stamping, inking, painting, embossing, gesso and misting, not to mention all the die cutting and making flower establishments.... sorry Karen :O)

and this photo shows Karen's cat Lilly trying to help with the photo!

And finally a few photos f the Jubilee weekend, we put on a BBQ in the pub to raise some money for Help 4 Heros and had a fab day, it was hard work but it was worth it to see everyone having a great time!!

I know I know, long time no blog as normal!

Life is a bit mad right now as things have changed a few times with hubbies work situation and we have gone from him not having enough work to far too much! We really cant complain, he has been working in the same pub for 15 years under different managers / owners and it has always been a little unstable and unpredictable (bit like myself lol). After the 3rd manager in as many months walked out on Mothers day we thought  he would be out of work or struggling on few hours again....

... but this time he is now running the pub himself, well I say he is I think that should say WE are!! I never wanted to be a landlady!!!!!!!!!! but I love him and will support him in any way I can, right now that means pulling pints, locking up, chucking out, cooking food for the bar, and generally dealing with drunk people... and on one occasion in the last few weeks calling an ambulance (nothing to do with the food I made!)

This has left little time for anything else as i am still working full time, so the craft room is a bit quiet at the mo. I did have time this weekend to make a page for Karen at total papercrafts with this months beautiful
Graphic 45 olde curiosity shoppe kit!!!!

hop over to the blog for details of the kit and to see what Karen did with the same papers xx

TTFN and promise to be back soon x

Halloween book

I know its nearly valentines day but I am obviously a bit behind with the seasonal projects!!

Just finished this little book of Halloween with picks from a year or two back at the lovely Stephs house, a great party and so much effort put in to make it a fab night.

The book is based on a design idea by the fantastically talented Karen at Total papercrafts xx

Started the book yesterday at a crop day run by Linda and Lynn from Scrapology - I could only make it for half a day but was great to just sit and create for a bit... and i did actually manage to get some work done and not just sit chatting !!!

then finished of at home today with supervision from Syd!

Tidy at last... well kind of :O)

At last the tidy up is finished and I know it still looks a bit of a mess but I know where everything is and yes I need it all :O)

I did manage to part with a few bits and bobs and have put these on ebay, here if you want a peek.. and it might help to pay the vet bill for Johnny... £237 and there was nothing wrong with him!!!

All I can say is such a lot of stuff in such a small space.... will have to work on Chris letting me takeover more of the house!

Time for a tidy up!

Well as its been a bit snowy and I couldn't get out yesterday I thought that I would have a bit of a craft room tidy!!!!!!

I wish i hadn't stated.... it is now a complete mess with stuff everywhere... they do say that it has to get worse before it gets better... lets hope they are right.
